Only Four Kids Home This Week......

This past week was rather busy for us.....The kids decided they wanted to go to Vacation Bible School at a church about 20 minutes from us. So, that was in the evenings from 6:00pm-8:30. The first night that we picked Quinn & Mikaila up, we asked them if they had a fun time & they both loved it! In fact, they were disappointed that it was only a week-what a rip off! We thought it was ALL summer! Wednesday night, I shuttled our two, plus Mikaila invited the neighbor girl to come. Thursday, each of our kids (excluding the twins-I know, I should have let them!) had a friend come over and spend the night. Our van was full with kids, but it was a great "problem" to have. Once again, dropped off the kids and then did a little shopping for Mikaila. She was going to head out for Colorado in a few days, and she needed a few things.
Friday, I hung out with the little guys while Joel took our older 3 and their friend's to Castles and Coasters for the day. It was kind of a birthday present for Mikaila to bring a friend and have them stay the night. Ashleigh and Quinn just got lucky and were able to have their friends come too.
Nothing too exciting on Saturday, other then I had to shuttle Ashleigh to the orthodontist around lunch time for her 6 week appt. Boy, I think I've forgotten what her teeth really look like under all that metal! Her top teeth look really good, and now they are just trying to close the gap on the bottom, hopefully not too much longer. Of course, we've been saying that for a while now...so, we shall see!
Sunday, we went to church and over to my parents house for an early Father's Day/My Mom's birthday/A late Mikaila's birthday celebration! Whew! It was a yummy lunch, I never complain about Mexican food! After spending the day over there, we had to drop Mikaila off at Aunt Jeni and Uncle Patrick's house. They were leaving for the cabin in the morning and so we thought it would be easiest to just drop her off the evening before & spend the night. I know she will have such a great time and will be in the best of hands! I can't wait to hear how things are going!

Well, being that it's very easy for the whole summer to just sort of "slip away", and the kids can't always remember what they did, I have wrote down each and EVERY day so far, what things they have done. They can look back on it down the road and say did I really watch that stupid Sponge Bob show, or Oh yeah, we went there, or had those friends come over. Just a small investment of time, to hopefully help them remember some fond memories & good times during their summer break!
