Our Monday

Our Casey Boy!

Our "Mr. Universe"

"Hey Baaaaby!"

At "music" class today. Camden & Casey

Ok, I had a somewhat lengthy new post ready to save, pictures uploaded from today and THEN the computer started to mysteriously shut down!! Hmmm could it have been somebody small whose name starts with a C and ends in an asey?!! Prob. about 30 minutes of my time down the drain-Oh well, at least it was something like that, and nothing too major!
Anyhow, all it basically said was that I signed the kids up for activities a few weeks ago and quite honestly, I couldn't remember when the twins Gymboree class was supposed to start. Good thing I checked when it was, because it ended up that it was THIS morning at 10:00. I show up with the boys, only to find out that not enough people had signed up and the class would have to be canceled(not just today's but the whole session!) I was pretty sad about this, because it sounded like a really fun and interactive class! I decided I should prob. do something fun with them and I took them to the playgound. A little playing there and then coming home to a pb&J for Cam and a pb and honey for Case- & all was good again. Fortunately, I got a phone call tonight saying the class was now big enough and would be starting next week instead.
Yeah!! I know they will love going!
Quinn starts soccor in March and Mikaila wanted to try cheerleeding, I'm sure she'll have alot of fun with that! The gymnastics class that Ashleigh wanted to try was already full-so hopefully next time she can give that a shot!
Being that the older kids got the twins ready for bed-teeth brushed, pj's on, & read to I am able to finish this post. THANKS KIDS! Mom appreciates your help!

"Walk the Walk"

The past few days our family, or just Joel and I have decided to get our selves moving and get some exercise by walking. You wouldn't hink one could get lost in their own neighborhood, but hey I proved that theory wrong the other night! (at leat it turned out to be more exercise than we planned on!)
I really was quite dedicated to the whole boring low carb, plenty of exercise and lots of water routine this past fall. I probably shed 8-9 pounds and felt pretty good. Well, when you do the same thing over and over every day, you tend to (or at least I do) get sick of it!! I began to get out of my routine, soda mysteriously somehow creept back into our pantry and a few other yummy things. Boy, did that feel good to just eat and not feel like I was breaking any rules, cause hey, I didn't have any!
O.k. so as we were at church this past Sunday the msg, was on taking care of your body and making the best choices possible. Greaaaat, that means the soda I just bought a week ago will come with a BIG guilt trip if I have it now!
Honestly though, I was glad to start walking again and it's so much nicer to walk outside (providing the weather here isn't 100 degrees out. Also not having to stare at my boring white wall in my bedroom is a plus also!) It felt like San Diego weather this morning-so perfect!
If the message from church wasn't enough, I also have my sister's wedding to look presentable for in March and also Joel and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary in May. He's been thinking about this big event for the past few years now and came home yesterday with some plans. Nothing hotter than a husband with romantic plans up his sleeve! Anyways, it should be exciting to hopefully go up the coast of Northern California in hopefully a convertible-red would be lovely!
I think you're caught up now. Oh, btw,
Saturday night we get to help make my sister feel special this weekend with her 20th birthday (times 2.) :)

New Years Eve...Welcome 2009!

Casey building w/ blocks, big brother is the supervisor.

Let me first apologize for those of you that follow are blog, and you have been seeing the same thing for probably the past three weeks now! I usually don't take that long to update it, but I knew I would have to change the background (I may not even get that part done today), get rid of my Christmas music, remove the video clips and quite frankly, it just got put off! It seems like so much has happened in just a few weeks. The two weeks that Joel and the kids were home was very nice and I didn't have that feeling that you sometimes get of it flying by. It was good. New years eve. wasn't spent in New York's Time Square, but maybe someday..... I don't know it looks pretty cold there, maybe we'll visit in the summertime. Our evening was spent with my brother and his family. Then, Ashleigh had her friend spend the night and they beggggged me to put the tent out in our backyard and "camp" out all night. We were all up till about 1:15 a.m. and that's practically amazing for our little Mikaila, she's a girl that loves her beauty sleep!!!
This past Saturday, Quinn & Ashleigh went up north to go sledding, and from what they told me, it was sooo cold and windy and kind of hard to walk in the snow. I think all our bodies are so used to all the "roasting" we do in the summertime, that it's not always too easy to be in the snow-even though it can be a blast sometimes! :)
I took Mikaila to her friend Bailey's b-day party which was at the roller skating place and she then spent the night at Bailey's place with some of her other good friends. She called us Sat. night and was talking a mile a minute of all the fun she was having and, and and, and!! Oh yeah, we gave the boys their hair cuts too. Believe me, when I say it's certainly not the activity that we look forward to doing! Itchy, hairy little boys, who would much rather be playing or doing anything other than getting their hair cut.

Yesterday we were gone from 9:30 in the morning till about 8:00 at night. I was so ready to hit the hay come 9:00! It was good visiting with everybody and the kids loved being back to visit their old friends at church- who are very much missed!
