Well, I must say the past week and a half or so has been quite a chore trying to get everyone better, including myself. Sorry there's no pictures this time, but this mama wasn't doing much of anything for a week! Both the twins and myself had the swine flu, throw in a few ear infections, coughs and fevers, that about covers everybody! Joel truly stepped up and took over the things I just wasn't able to do and so did the older kids, even though they weren't 100% either. Thank you!
It's good to be back to normal! :)
Last night, I dropped Quinn and Mikaila off at a similar program to Awana at some friends' church and they really seemed to have a fun time and want to go back next week-thank you for inviting them by the way. I had Ashleigh in the car along with the twins, & so I decided to get a little bit of Christmas shopping done while I was waiting. I really love looking at Christmas decorations, and all that fun stuff!
I did have to say, "Casey sweetie, please put that BREAKABLE snow globe down honey!" thank you. Whew!
Today I took the boys to their Doctor, just to have a follow up done on them after the whole swine flu thing (why don't they just call it pig flu?!) Cam still has a little bit of a rattle in his chest, but that's about it, and Casey was fine-which was good!
It seems like all the boys talk about lately is Halloween and trick or treating! There definitely is a big difference from last year and this year. They have to wear their costumes around the house all day and Camden even wore his pirate hat to the Dr. today-didn't exactly go, but hey, when you are 3 1/2 you can get away with not matching and still look mightycute. I guess Friday night will be our pumpkin carving night, it should be fun.
Have a great two more days this week! :)

I can't believe a week has already gone by! Just last weekend Joel went up to Prescott for a men's retreat and so it was just me and my crew for the weekend. I must say, it was strange not having Joel around....Quinn was gone the first night at a friend's house and then it was just the twins and myself the next night. When you're so used to taking care of EVERYONE, it seems mighty strange to come home to an empty house and have Jack in the Box for dinner! Sunday morning was nice outside, and so I took the twins on a bike ride to the park and then home for sweet rolls. :)
This past week, the kids were on their fall break. They have been asking me since last year to visit their old school, so that they could visit all of their old friends and teachers. Oh my goodness-quite the reception each of them got! It really was nice to see everyone again-alot of good memories were experienced at Copperwood (Their school).
This past weekend, my sister borrowed our van, so that they could all go up north for the day (including her new mother in law who is visiting from Chicago). Anyways, Joel and I had places to go on Saturday and we took the twins with us in my sister's car. It seemed so weird just taking two kids with us in something that wasn't our van. Nothing wrong with it, mind you....just strange! It felt like we were missing a few kids, which we were, but they were too busy having fun with the neighbor planning "double weddings" at our house!
Who were the grooms you ask?........... Camden and Casey of course! Who was the wedding coordinator?....Ashleigh. Who was the DJ? .......Quinn.
I think their wedding rehearsal lasted longer than some marriages do!!! Oh well, they had fun, which included putting Christmas lights up our stairs, music, and rings.
That was a small glimpse at our week! :) Everything returns back to normal tomorrow-Quinn has drama class on Mondays and really has been enjoying that. I hope you all have a great week! :)

Ok, it was brought to my attention that the last time I had been on a field trip with Ashleigh, was around first grade. Surely it couldn't have been that long, but apparently so! She asked me several weeks ago if I would be willing to go with them to the Phoenix Zoo...so, being that Joel was able to stay home with the twins, I said sure, sign me up. Then the more I thought about it, being surrounded by 8th graders for almost a whole day, was a bit frightening to me. Then I thought hey, I can handle only three kids in my group-no biggee! Then she tells me that the teacher added three more to our group-yep, three boys. So, now I'm really outnumbered 4 boys and the two girls. I can do this, I can do this!
I really did have a fun time with the kids and liked hanging out with them. Which ever kid you are that asked if I was Ashleigh's older sister, you will forever be on my "favorite list!" :) The kids were responsible for taking pictures and documenting things down in a folder they were given, so hopefully they learned a thing or two. Chances are, they were all just mainly glad to be out of classes for the day-but that's ok.
We saw most of the animals, and I must say the male baboon was quite naughty-you know!!
It was cute, one of the boys in my group said, they should really wait till they're married to do that! :)
Yesterday, as we were about to leave the park, Casey was getting down from a rock and hit his chin!. At first I didn't think it was that big of a deal, until I could see that the skin was no't staying together. We got a band-aid on it and let them take a nap at home while I contacted urgent care. I just waited for them to call me and then they hold a room for us for a half-hour until we are able to get there. It wasn't fun having to wrap him up in his blankie, so he couldn't move around.
The Dr. was very nice to him and we tried to talk to him and comfort him. The Dr. asked him about his kitty and what does kitty eat, Casey replied Caaaaat Fooooooood as he's crying! Joel about passed out at the sight of the blood and the Dr. sewing Case up. Joel was told to go lay down in another room. Oh my goodness! We are talking a little incision, well let's just say, we are all grateful that Joel is not in the medical field!
