"Break A Leg!"

This past weekend, was an extra long one....the kids were off both friday and yesterday. Friday was spent doing chores, grocery shopping and watching movies (fun, I know!). They always get so excited when it's chore time! "But mommmm, it's our day off!" Yes, and this way, you will get it over with and not have to do it on Saturday. Somehow, I don't think they found that too terribly consoling!

Saturday, we got ourselves going and out the door a little after nine.... we had to be at Quinn's audition at 10:00. We wern't really sure what to expect, being that we are new to the whole theater thing. Basically they just had him read lines with a few other kids, and then would switch and read another character's lines. Well, he was done around 11:00, and we would know one way or the other by noon the next day, if he made it or not.
Late that afternoon, Ashleigh and I took Mikaila to a b-day slumber party and they were going to get their pedi's and mani's done. I think it's always cute when little girls get to be pampered a little bit.
After we dropped her off, we looked at models in Verrado and then came home. Love the outside of alot of the homes there, but just haven't fallen in love with any of the homes on the inside...good thing I still love our home!

Sunday, we went to church and while we were there, my phone buzzed.....could it be that phone call we were hoping to get "before noon"? It was, and I put it on speaker so Quinn could hear the "Congratulations Quinn, you have been cast for several parts in Stuart Little!" I was so happy for him, Mammas are always proud of their babies!!
Later, we went to go see Blind Side......Loved Sandra Bullock. Fabulous story and I certainly intend on getting the dvd, when it comes out.
I'll wrap this up, but Monday we had some friends over for lunch and just hung out. I set up a craft table in our playroom for them to do anything they could possibly want to do, but I guess they found other fun things to do instead. That's ok, the twins decided to paint this morning.
Have a great week!

Celebrate Family!

We have been wanting to visit Joel's cousin, Connie and her family for quite sometime now, and finally were able to this past Saturday. Everyone of her kids are adorable! Lucky for Quinn, Morgan was able to come home with us and spend the night. The kids had pizza, and watched a movie and had popcorn. That evening, we went out with Donna & Edward to celebrate both of their recent birthdays. It was nice to be able to go out and have some "adult time" :)Kids are GREAT, but so are adults! Thank you for sharing your evening with us! :)
Sunday we all went to church and then to play at the park. Thanks for visiting us Morgan, we hope you had fun.

Come To An End

Ashleigh and a good friend of hers.
Ashleigh sporting our lucky #21

Hey, we're both the "youngest child"!!!!!

No "band wagon" fans here! :)
As you prob. already know, Ashleigh played basketball for the first time this year. Even though the season was very disappointing.....zero,zilch,nata,nuttin, no wins (I know she'll prob hate me for putting that) BUT in the last game there was a small silver lining. With only 8 seconds left, Ashleigh made the last basket of the season-yeah Ashleigh!! I don't think b-ball is really her first love, but we are proud of her for sticking it out and I'm sure she'll always have the memory of scoring the last basket of the game! I'm guessing cheer will be more her thing in H.S. :)

Who Likes Doughnuts?!

Casey may be finished already, but he's not getting any of mine! I love doughnuts!

"I think I love you, but what am I so afraid of?"
Hmmmmm....Ahhhhh!
Friday was a kind of a busy day....After I dropped the kids off at school, I took the boys into the little Bashas by the school (prob. about the size of 2 QT gas stations) Anyways, that meant staring at all the glorious doughnuts in the case. The boys new exactly what they wanted, there's just something about colorful sprinkles on a doughnut! I didn't have one, BUT boy did I want one-I'm a sucker for the apple fritters. We just stayed out and about because the kids got out early that day and what's the point of going home?

Later, I went to my Fantastic Sams to get my hair done...let me just tell you, I DREAD getting my hair done. I don't know what it is, well, yes I do.....I hate the time it takes from start to finish and also needing a haircut took even longer! I just always feel like there's things to be done and when something takes up too much time, I don't love it! Anyway, the new girl I tried was very sweet and did a good job.

We were planning on going over to Aunt Shawnie's that evening and so I quickly grabbed a bowl of cereal and we went out the door (girls only). She had planned a scrapbook night and I knew the girls would like to go. Unfortunately, they didn't get a whole lot done-Ashleigh couldn't find the pics. that she wanted to work on. Aunt Shawnie's pages turned out cute. I personally, enjoyed scarfing the spinach dip and crackers! :)

Thank you for having us over. :)
