Joel and Quinn working on the pumpkins.
Well, this one is our 75th post and I will recap our trick or treating weekend!
Friday evening we just spent some time out front and Joel and Quinn carved the pumpkins-they always look cool once you put the candle inside of them.
Saturday we spent most of the day at Moon Valley Church.... I must say, they truly went to a lot of work to make sure everybody was having a fun time! Lunch was provided, cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn, tye- dying, bounce houses, the swings like at the fair, professional skateboarding team, a little train ride, petting zoo, crafts, face painting and the list goes on and on. Completely organized from the parking, to the food and rides! They also had a drawing for numerous items, & as soon as we left, our kids asked if we could come back next year and they thanked us for taking them. They want to help volunteer next year with some of the fun games. Sounds good to me!
We didn't get home till close to 4:30 and still needed to get some dinner and get the kids ready in their costumes. Joel's mom came over and went with us this year, and it was fun.
One of the houses owns several Mc Donalds and so they were passing out cards to redeem for free happy meals -not too shabby! Ashleigh went around with a friend from school and her family and one of Quinn's classmates ended up coming with us. The twins did really great and didn't complain about all the walking(obviously getting candy at each house was an incentive!). I will say that at one house, a pirate scared Camden and he started to cry. He wasn't trying to scare him, and the funny thing was that Cam was dressed in a pirate costume himself! I think our little Elmo got the most comments ..... people would say "Hi Elmo or Elmo's cool!
Dorothy was a hit too-well, they all were! Since I'm their mom I can say that. :)

Have a great week!!!

Thanks for including me in your Halloween trick-or-treating! It was a lot of fun being with the kids and seeing them in their costumes in person this year! The twins did great!
